PUZZLE KO CLUB

by VISCO GAMES

THIS WAS THE THIRD VISCO PROJECT (1992-Andro Dunos and 1994-Crystal Legacy) AND IRONICALLY IT WAS ABANDONED TWICE!

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Initially, this 1994 puzzle game was dismissed as having been the early beta and working title for 1995 Puzzle De Pon. Puzzle De Pon was an excellent game which used the Puzzle Bobble (1994) game engine. The gameplay was enhanced and it was licensed by Taito and released in 1995. Howevever, this was based on the limited information that we had available at the time, which was only one title screen shot with a copyright of 1994. Many years later, we came across additional screenshots for the game contained in articles which documented it at 2 different shows; from time periods before and after Puzzle De Pon's official MVS release.

We now believe that it may have been an original puzzle game that Visco was working on which was immediately put on hold and postponed when they obtained the licence to do Puzzle De Pon. And then a year later, after having success with Puzzle De Pon, they revisited it, and yet again, decided to release a sequel (Puzzle de Pon R) instead.
